Hi,
I’ve been having some trouble and I thought you might be able to help me with it. I’ve been trying to make a custom recolor or your Sims 4 ragamuffin/shaggy hairstyle, but every single time it shows up fine in S4S and CAS, but it in Live mode it has a weird blond overlay.
Am I missing something? I’m using GIMP 2.8 to recolor the texture file. Is there something I’m doing wrong? An alpha channel I’m missing?
Please help! I can’t figure it out. 🙁

My graphic settings can handle the ultra mode and I’ve done everything concerning graphic settings, but nothing seems to help. I have an Nvidia GeForce video card and plenty of computing power, so I don’t think it is a graphics issue.

I was wondering, do you still plan to convert your Free! content into The Sims 4? I would very much like Haruka and Makoto’s hairs at the least, and your hairs are so nice. You mentioned you planned on it last year, so is that still a plan?
No rush of course, I don’t want demand them or anything, I just want to know if that’s still in the works. 🙂

Yes,I still have the plan to convert and remake my hairstyles of Free! into TS4.
I can’t get it started soon because I have a lot of unfinished works,but I haven’t given up that plan. ｐ(｀・ω・´)ｑ

I checked your package file and there was definitely weird blonde overlay.
But seemed there was no problem in the CAS resource,so I re-imported the diffuse texture (recolored hair texture).
The result was OK! the weird blonde overlay didn’t appear.

I think mipmaps of diffuse texture were broken.
I exported your texture,then saved it with Paint.net and imported again to the package.
(Paint.net is free software : http://www.getpaint.net/index.html)
The thing I tried is only re-import the texture,but I’ll send my package file just to be sure.
It works! Thank you so much for helping me! I will try Paint.net for making recolors. I think GIMP might have broken the texture when importing or exporting.

I really love your stuff. Always use your lashes and am in love with your male hair. I wanted to ask whether you would consider converting your TS3 dreadlocks to TS4. I absolutely love the style. I am so happy I found your blog! I have downloaded some male hairstyles and I cannot wait to try them. The only problem is this: I really love Rin’s hairstyle (http://kijiko-catfood.com/2014/10/06/shark-for-male), but I cant seem to download it. I have downloaded the link to my computer but once I double click the download it does gets me to the sims 3 launcher but after about 2% download the launcher just crashes. I’ve attempted to download many times but it just keeps crashing. 🙁 I really want to be able to use that hairstyle and cause I really like Rin. Do you know a solution? or is there a way you can upload the file as .package file?

Does TS3 launcher fail to install .sims3pack files?
To convert .sims3pack to .package,there’s the Delphy’s Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter.

Hello again! Thank you so much for your help and reply. I did convert the mods into .package file but as it turns out I wasn’t even able to run my game that is why the error occured when I tried to install Rin’s hair. I got panicked cause I dont want to reinstall the whole game, but thankfully I found the problem. I had to uninstall some of the mods; and they are the NRaas mods; cause I downloaded around all 5 of them from the website you recommended and left only Nraas Master Controller for now. I figured they were the problems cause only after I downloaded them I started having problems with downloading your mods. However, thank you so much for your help and I am glad you replied 🙂 Keep up the good work! I have your page on bookmark and hope to see more of your amazing works ^^
