Installing a downloaded Custom Content

**EA does not support Mods and Custom Contents. Please use it at your own risk

Decompress the file you downloaded.
(If you download compressed file,please make sure you uncompress the file.
You should be always looking at a .package file.)

Windows TO : Use archiver something like 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/), WinRAR (http://www.win-rar.com/download.html)
Mac OS : Double click the file. Zip file will uncompress automatically.
Place .package files into
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
(folder path)C:Users\[Your User Folder]\Documents\Electronic Arts\TheSims 4\Mods
Mostly,there’s a main file required for CC working.
Don’t forget to put a main file.
Please read a ‘Read Me’ file in a file you downloaded to get files info.

If you open the game,you need close it,and reopen it for changes to take effect.

Also,please make sure to update your game to the latest version.
If your game is older version,CC may not show up in your game.

Custom Content Doesn’t Show Up?

If your game version is older than the game version of CC created,that CC may not show up in your game.
Please check your game version.
Checking version of my CC working is currently  PC 1.37.35.1010 / Mac 1.36.104.1210

Did you put them in subfolders?
The default Resource.cfg does not support nested subfolders.
If you want to sort your Mods,you need to edit the Resource.cfg.
Now the Sims 4 makes the Resource.cfg that allows nested subfolders automatically.
Make sure the Resource.cfg is like this :

Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
PackedFile */*/*.package
PackedFile */*/*/*.package
PackedFile */*/*/*/*.package

Editing like this,you can put them in 5 nested subfolders.
Please be careful not changing filename extension.

.zip,.rar or .7z files are needed to be unpacked.
Please check whether the file is unpacked correctly

Has the “Enable Custom Content and Mods” turned on?
Select the Game Options,and please check it.
(After a patch,you need to turn this back on.)

*Mod 、カスタムコンテンツの使用はEAのサポート対象外ですので、ご使用の際はご自身の責任でお願いします。
カスタムコンテンツは.packageファイル形式になっています。
ダウンロードしたファイルが圧縮ファイルの場合、解凍してください。
Windowsの場合：任意の解凍ソフトをご使用下さい。
Macの場合：ファイルをダブルクリックすると、ファイルユーティリティーが起動してファイルを解凍します。
解凍したフォルダ内の.packageファイルを以下の場所に入れて下さい。
Windowsの場合：
C:Users\（ユーザー名）\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
Macの場合：
ユーザー\(ユーザー名)\書類\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

カスタムコンテンツが反映されない？

圧縮ファイルの場合、インストールの前に解凍してあるかご確認ください。
正しいカスタムコンテンツのファイルであればファイルの拡張子.packageとなっているかと思います。

ゲームのバージョンを確認してください。
バージョンが古い場合、カスタムコンテンツが使用できない場合があります。
現在、当ブログで配布中のカスタムコンテンツは以下のバージョン、
 PC 1.37.35.1010 / Mac 1.37.35.1210
での動作を確認しています。

サブフォルダーを使ってコンテンツを管理する場合、Modsフォルダー内のResource.cfgファイルがサブフォルダーを認識できる設定に編集されているか確認してください。
Resource.cfgは最初のゲーム起動時にサブフォルダーが使用できるよう自動で生成されているはずですが、
編集する場合、テキストエディターで開き、
Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
PackedFile */*/*.package
PackedFile */*/*/*.package
PackedFile */*/*/*/*.package
以上のように記載すると５階層までのサブフォルダーが使用できるようになります。
保存の際は拡張子を変更してしまわないようご注意ください。

ゲームオプション内の『カスタムコンテンツとMODを有効にする』にチェックが入っているかご確認下さい。
一度、チェックした場合でも、ゲームをアップデート後にこちらのチェックは一旦ははずされるので、再びチェックを入れる必要があります。

もしゲームを起動中の場合は、一旦ゲームを終了し再起動してください。
カスタムコンテンツが反映されます。
